Christian Hosoi
Christian Hosoi is pro skater that was known for his big airs and moves on vert throughout the 80’s. He was also a handy street skater and won a few comps. Known as the inventor of the ‘Christ Air’ and ‘Rocket Air’, he had a few board sponsors along the way. Starting off with Powell Peralta as an amateur, then Dogtown and Sims as a Pro.
He also started and ran his own company in Hosoi Skates. It originally started in 1984 and was under the Skull and then NHS banners. It is back again today and under the Select Distribution banner.
When it comes to decks, he’s probably best known for the hammerhead shape and rising sun graphics.
